7 foods you should not abuse

The issue of nutrition is acute in our lives. Man cannot exist without food – this is known to all. However, nutrition is not so simple. Not all foods are healthy, and some foods may well cause serious health problems. Find out what these products are!

Today, the production of most products on our table is carried out by huge food corporations. First of all, they are aimed at profit, and only secondly they think about the quality of their products, if at all. A person cannot control the process of making food. You also never know for sure how the ingredients we made at home were grown. And not all-natural products are really needed by our body.

It remains only to rely on known data on the benefits or dangers of a particular food. And also on the state of your body – you should always monitor your health, and how nutrition affects it. We’ll tell you about 7 products that should not be abused, even though at first glance they seem harmless.

Potatoes

A simple vegetable from which you can cook a variety of dishes, loved by many. If you do not want to bother, you can just fry potatoes and have a delicious dinner. That’s just such a dish because of the large number of fats and carbohydrates it is very harmful to the body and will contribute to weight gain. In addition, potatoes are rich in starch. And that, once in the stomach, leads to the accumulation of mucus on the walls of the intestine. Potato fries, fried in refined oil and with the addition of a large amount of salt, are especially harmful to health.

It is not necessary to refuse potatoes at all, but it is worth giving preference to young. It has a lot of fiber and vitamins, and in the baked or boiled form it will only bring benefits.

Skim milk products

Such milk or kefir manufacturers position as diet. There really is no fat in them, which cannot be said about carbohydrates and refined oils. To ensure that fat-free foods are not completely tasteless, sucrose and other sweeteners, flavorings, and preservatives are generously added to them, which simply clog the body.

White flour bread and pastries

On the packaging of bakery products, they write that they are baked from premium flour. It would seem that natural flour from wheat or other grains. So – is the product useful? Unfortunately not. Useful minerals and vitamins contain, as a rule, only a shell of the grain, which is removed during the manufacture of flour. And the rest is full of unnecessary carbohydrates, which can damage digestion. In addition, margarine, hydrogenated vegetable oil that is trans-fat and harmful to the body, is often added to baked goods.

Red meat

The body needs meat as a source of protein and essential amino acids, which help it build new tissues. But red meat is not as healthy as white. When it is digested, carcinogenic substances are formed in the stomach. And fried pork or beef is doubly harmful.

It is better to prefer chicken or fish every day and eat less red meat.

Butter analogs

Margarine, spread, and other similar mixtures are intended to replace butter, but this is the case where it is better not to save. Cheap analogs contain many trans isomers of fatty acids. These substances pose a serious danger to the body. They cause cardiovascular disease, diabetes, disrupt metabolic processes.

Refined vegetable oil

An industrial method for the manufacture of oils involves saturating them with Omega-6 fats, which can cause inflammatory processes in the body, disrupt the functioning of blood vessels and even lead to oncology. So even for reasons of economy, it is not worth frying constantly in refined oil, all the more so to season healthy salads with them.

Juice in bags

Fruits are definitely useful, which means that the product from them, juice, should also be useful. But this is only if it was squeezed from fresh fruits immediately before consumption and not diluted with any preservatives. Store juices undergo pasteurization, heat treatment, sugar, and other impurities that are added to them – all in order to make the taste more saturated and longer shelf life. Such juice can hardly be called useful.

 Harmful products are not always semi-finished products, sweets, and ready-made takeaway foods. Even in your own kitchen, you can cook a harmful dish from seemingly healthy ingredients, if you add low-quality dressing, choose the best processing method or abuse some product. Therefore, do not ignore the advice of nutritionists and try to be more careful about what you eat.
